Ten years ago, our business embarked on a new chapter as it became part of the Suntory family, combining bold ambitions with a deep sense of purpose. Fast forward to 2024 and our journey has been about much more than business growth; we’ve made meaningful change for our people, our communities and the world around us.
At the core of everything we do are three guiding values: Yatte Minahare, Growing for Good and Giving Back to Society. These principles, deeply rooted in our Japanese heritage, inspire us to challenge ourselves and strive to make a meaningful impact on the world around us.
Our success over the past decade is thanks to the hard work, passion and commitment of our people. They have built our culture and embodied the spirit of Suntory, laying the foundation for everything we’ve achieved. As we come to the end of 2024, and to celebrate ten years, we spoke to colleagues who have also marked their own decade with the business and asked them to share their stories about being a Suntorian.
Louise Deane, Sourcing Group Manager, shares how Yatte Minahare, the spirit of boldness and resilience, has influenced her journey:
Yatte Minahare means being bold and going for things. It’s about trying new things and not being afraid to fail because every setback is an opportunity to learn and grow.
Michelle Norman, Sustainability & External Affairs Director for Europe, highlights the impact of Giving Back to Society, a value that has been central to her experience:
And Jane Murray, Suntory Way Brand Innovation Director, who perfectly captures the essence of Growing for Good:
Looking ahead to 2025 and beyond, our purpose remains clear: to inspire the brilliance of life by creating rich experiences for people in harmony with nature. This purpose drives our innovation, fuels our commitment to sustainability and ensures that we continue to enrich the lives of our consumers, employees, and communities.
Here’s to the next ten years – Yatte Minahare!
