Love Your Forest campaign introduces Recycle Reward Machines to the Forest of Dean

Love Your Forest, SBF GB&I’s anti-littering campaign is trialling two new Recycle Reward Machines to help Forest of Dean residents to recycle on the go.

Sir Recyclesalot and Buddy the Bottle Crusher can be found in Midcounties Co-operative's Coleford Food store and the Dean Heritage Centre in Soudley. Just a stone’s throw from the SBF GB&I manufacturing site in Coleford.

The machines, installed by SBF GB&I’s charity partner Hubbub, are encouraging people to recycle their empty bottles and cans in exchange for prizes, which include a Forest of Dean lottery ticket (for 16 year-olds and above) and #LoveYourForest reusable merchandise.

The machines are programmed to reward recyclers based on the volume of recyclable materials they deposit, similar to the deposit return scheme being introduced in Scotland.

Prizes can be claimed at the Tourist Information Centre in Coleford or at the Dean Heritage Centre.

SBF GB&I launched Love Your Forest with Hubbub in 2016 and is run in collaboration with the Forest of Dean District Council, Forestry England, Foresters’ Forest, and Forest of Dean & Wye Valley Tourism.
