Green Week 2024 has come to an end, marking an inspiring internal event dedicated to sustainability at Suntory Beverage & Food Europe. This year, we celebrated the third edition of our initiative, which featured two weeks filled with conversations, learning, and collaboration across our markets in Europe. "Growing for Good" is a core company value that drives our actions and aligns with the theme of this year's event: “Growing Our Knowledge.” This theme emphasised equipping our teams with the tools and insights necessary to incorporate sustainability more deeply into our daily operations, ultimately driving meaningful change. With a mix of sessions and activities, we explored important topics, shared ideas and found practical ways to make a difference.
Green Week 2024 underscored the importance of collective effort, innovative thinking and continuous learning to drive meaningful change. Some of the key learnings included:
Decarbonisation is both a challenge and an opportunity. Optimising supply chains, improving energy efficiency and adopting renewable energy are key to reducing emissions. Strong leadership is essential to drive these changes.Water conservation needs immediate attention. Using water efficiently helps protect ecosystems, support communities, and build resilience against climate change.
Sustainability is also about social responsibility. Businesses must promote well-being, respect human rights and support local communities as part of their efforts.
Collaboration is crucial for success. Sharing knowledge and best practices across teams, markets and stakeholders leads to greater impact.
Small actions make a big difference. From workshops to local initiatives like tree planting and waste collection, individual contributions play a vital role in driving change.
Green Week 2024 has been a powerful reminder of how much we can achieve when we come together to learn, share and act. By growing our knowledge and embracing innovation, we are living our company value of Growing for Good, recognising that sustainable growth and positive change go hand in hand. These efforts are not just about advancing our business, but also about making a meaningful impact on the communities and ecosystems that we operate in.

Across our European markets, teams embraced the spirit of Green Week with hands-on initiatives that brought sustainability to life. We had Climate Fresk workshops in Belgium and the UK, tree planting in Poland and plastic collection drives in South Africa, all of which bdemonstrated the power of collective effort and local action to create bigger impact.
As Green Week 2024 draws to a close, the focus now shifts to action. These two weeks have sparked important conversations and new ideas, but the journey doesn’t end here. Our challenge is to carry this momentum forward, embedding what we’ve learned into how we work every day.
